One beautiful heart deserves another.

Go, Go, Greta illustrator and co-creator Joseph Watson is one of several local artists to recently complete commissioned hearts for St. Jude's. The hearts "live" in high-traffic locations around the city for some time and are eventually auctioned off, benefitting the charity and helping in the fight against children's cancer. It is a lovely thing to know exists and be a part of.

To that end, we thought, why not do a second heart with Greta showing her support of the cause? After all, she herself was inspired by kids and exists for the sole purpose of spreading a positive message and reminding us all that we "can do anything."

Here's a sketch of loose progress on what will eventually be painted on the smaller heart. The larger ones are between four and five feet in length. This one is a bit smaller, closer to one foot. The smaller heart can be seen here in its blank "canvas" stage, before painting has begun, and the larger one near completion.

Fittingly, this additional part of the St. Jude's heart project began on February 14th, Valentine's Day, the very same day that Joseph and his wife Tamara became proud parents of a baby boy.
